EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER / MAMA / MENTOR
I have worked in the Early Childhood Profession for nearly ten years. During these years I have undertaken many different roles that have allowed me to learn and gather my expertise along the way. I have been an Educator, Room Leader, Assistant Director and Educational Leader. Whilst stepping into these roles, I completed my Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and became a Kindergarten Teacher a few years ago. I have always had a passion for setting up holistic learning environments and helping children learn through play. Being able to be a part of a child learning journey is something I will always value and cherish. Seeing all child grow, learn and flourish within your program is incredibly rewarding and something I always strive for.
With experience, knowledge and motivation under my belt, I started my first ever Kindergarten Teaching role in 2020. As a graduate Teacher, I still found myself extremely overwhelmed stepping into a new role. Reflecting back on my experience, I wish I knew it was okay to ask for help and guidance and I wish I had more confidence within myself. With the pressure of trying to be the perfect Teacher and a pandemic, I became quickly burnt out and defeated.
I started my Instagram which at the time was called ‘Kindergarten with Beck.’
I became more motivated, driven and creative. I began posting and sharing more on my page and networking with others. In 2021, I finished up my teaching year in November to go on maternity leave. In December, my husband Andrew and I welcomed our beautiful boy, Arlo. I was embracing and enjoying the journey of motherhood, family and newborn bliss. When Arlo’s routine became more predictable, I found myself looking back on my Instagram and wanting to connect with my community again. This time under the new name of ECE (Early Childhood Education) with Beck.
It was at this moment that I realised I had found a passion for wanting to help and support Educators, Teachers and families in feeling valued, appreciated and motivated.
This led me onto the path of creating support guides and mentoring others. After having so much support from family, friends and my Instagram community, I created my very first guide. My goal is to be your support, your mentor and go-to person when you need a helping hand. I have some great ideas and goals for this space such as mentoring, running professional developments and even supporting you out at your kindergarten or childcare centres.
I want to create a safe space and community for Teachers and Educators to turn to whenever they need some support, motivation, inspiration or another pair of eyes.

Program
I will always advocate for a play based learning but I believe it comes with a good balance of intentional teaching. With my experience and knowledge I can support you in creating a great program and for all children to explore projects, learn from the environment and learn through play.

ENVIRONMENT
My environments have always been inviting, nurturing and creative. I can help support you in achieving this within your kindergarten and childcare centre to provide children with a holistic learning environment to thrive in.
